Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Lead Server for its community dining program in Chesapeake, VA. You will deliver friendly, professional service to senior residents, manage food and beverage service, and support a warm dining atmosphere while guiding team members.

You will ensure dietary needs are met, assist with events, and help maintain high standards in a fast-paced dining room environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Food Handler Card is a plus and may be needed for sanitation compliance.
• Experience in upscale full-service dining is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and guests warmly and foster a positive dining atmosphere.
• Take meal orders accurately and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
• Adhere to residents' dietary requirements and preferences, including portions and special requests.
• Supervise front-of-house staff in the absence of the Culinary Director.
• Assist with scheduling, section assignments, and event service flow.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards according to guidelines.
