Job summary

Colliers Assisted Living in Port Orange is seeking a compassionate Lead Dining Room Server to join our team. You will lead dining service for residents, ensuring meals align with dietary needs and residents’ preferences.

You will set up and clean dining areas, work with kitchen staff for timely meal delivery, and assist with special events while upholding health and safety standards. Prior healthcare or assisted living food service experience and a passion for seniors are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Pass a level 2 background check through https://info.flclearinghouse.com.
• Experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with seniors.
• Ability to lift and carry up to [insert weight] pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals and beverages to residents, ensuring that dietary restrictions and preferences are observed.
• Assist residents in making meal choices, taking into consideration their individual needs and tastes.
• Set up and clean dining areas before and after meals, maintaining a welcoming and hygienic environment.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal delivery and communicate residents’ needs effectively.
• Provide friendly and attentive service, fostering a warm atmosphere during mealtime.
• Monitor residents' food intake and report any concerns regarding nutrition or dietary needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with special events and social gatherings as directed, including theme nights or holiday celebrations.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and cleanliness protocols.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to serving in an assisted living environment.
