Highlands Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Laporte, PA is seeking full-time or part-time Cooks to join our 120-bed long-term care facility. You will prepare meals in line with health regulations and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health regulations and food safety requirements.
• Must lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to relate positively to residents and collaborate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food in accordance with health regulations and established policies and procedures.
• Reviews menus, production guides and facility diet guidelines.
• Assists in the ordering process by taking inventory of food and supplies under the direction of the food service director.
• Ensures meals prepared are palatable, visually appealing, and appropriate for residents' needs.
• Maintains and records food temperatures and follows HACCP guidelines as designated by FSD.
• Oversees dietary staff as designated by FSD.
