Job summary

Stefanini, Inc. is seeking a Lead Diesel Technician in Reno, NV to manage hands-on repairs and mentor a team of technicians. You will diagnose complex diesel systems, supervise preventive maintenance, and coordinate with distribution leadership to ensure fleet reliability.

You will lead from the shop floor, handle electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs, and play a key role in improving maintenance processes while ensuring safety and compliance with DOT guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong hands-on diesel truck, tractor, trailer or heavy-equipment repair experience.
• Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technical contact for truck and tractor problems.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair diesel trucks, tractors, refrigeration units, and trailers.
• Guide other mechanics through difficult electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical problems.
• Oversee 90‑day preventive maintenance services according to DOT guidelines.
• Perform and oversee repairs to brakes, powertrains, suspension systems, and other major vehicle systems.
