Job summary

Penske is seeking an experienced technician in Tuscumbia, AL to perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of trucks and trailers. Lead by example, mentor peers, and work independently with responsible attention to safety and quality.

Qualifications

6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
Specialized training and experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); ASE Certification and 608/609 preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
Perform preventive maintenance on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, and related components.
Keep work area clean and safe at all times.
Use Penske tools to log, research, and complete repairs; perform basic vehicle diagnostics.
