Patriot Disposal seeks a skilled Mechanic:Maint to keep our diesel-powered waste-management fleet running. You will diagnose, service, and repair rear-load, front-load, and roll-off trucks, with emphasis on preventive maintenance and reliability.

Collaborate with fellow mechanics and supervisors to prioritize repairs, document work, and uphold safety standards. A CDL is a plus; HS diploma required; ability to lift 70 lbs; wages include benefits.

Competenze

• Experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with waste management, heavy equipment, or truck fleets.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and air brake systems; able to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
• Experience using diagnostic tools, mechanical hand tools and power tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
• CDL is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional diesel mechanic training preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.

• Vehicle maintenance: diagnose, service, and repair diesel-powered waste management trucks and heavy equipment (rear-load, front-load, roll-off).
• Preventive care: conduct inspections and maintenance (engine checks, fluids, brakes, tires).
• Repairs and replacements: troubleshoot and replace worn parts (brakes, engines, hydraulics, transmissions, air systems).
• Safety compliance: ensure repairs meet safety standards and regulations.
• Documentation: record maintenance hours, parts used, and work performed.
• Team collaboration: coordinate with other mechanics and supervisors to manage fleet maintenance.
