Job summary

Summit School Services LLC is seeking a Fleet Supervisor for a Diesel Shop in the Medford/New York area. You will supervise maintenance staff, ensure DOT compliance, manage preventive maintenance, and oversee the ERP-based work orders and parts inventory for a heavy-duty fleet.

The role requires 5+ years in fleet supervision and auto/truck/bus repair experience, with strong computer and diagnostic skills. A flexible schedule and budget oversight are involved.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fleet supervision in a diesel shop with heavy/med duty fleets.
• Minimum of five years auto/truck or bus mechanical repair experience.
• Experience with DOT compliance for med/heavy trucks.
• ASE certification preferred (Master Automotive/Truck Technician).
• Proficient with computers and diagnostic tools.
• Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities.
• Experience in planning and scheduling maintenance (daily/weekly/monthly).
• Oversee parts inventory and facility procurement.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and perform vehicle repairs and related duties.
• Oversee local implementation of maintenance SOPs and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Oversee EAM ERP use for work orders and inventory tracking.
• Manage parts inventory for the facility and oversee preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate unscheduled repairs and maintenance activities.
• Represent maintenance in cross-functional interactions with driver care and operations.
• Supervise maintenance staff at the facility.
• Uphold ethical standards and report concerns as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
