Job summary

Blanchard Machinery is seeking a Shop Lead Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment while leading a team of service staff. You will set production goals, train and evaluate technicians, and ensure work supports department objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 10+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing diesel equipment preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of machines and tools, incl. designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Proficient with current computer software, related hardware, and machine electronic systems.
• Quality control analysis skills for inspections and evaluating performance.
• Must be able to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, operating and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment following established procedures.
• Lead a team to provide mechanical services that meet customer needs and goals.
• Establish production goals and supervise, train, and evaluate service employees.
• Ensure work aligns with department goals and safety policies.
• Complete parts orders and identify parts for return.
• Provide mentoring and training to others and maintain a safe work environment.
