Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking an experienced HeavyDuty Mechanic focused on Diesel and CNG vehicle maintenance. You will diagnose, repair, and inspect complex systems, lead junior mechanics, and coordinate timely repairs to keep fleets safe and road-ready.

Qualifications

Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and related regulations.
Brake safety certificate and 609 A/C system certification required.
ASE certifications preferred.
Ability to read schematics and manuals.
5+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair Diesel and CNG powered trucks and equipment including engines, electrical, hydraulics and fuel systems.
Lead inspections of brake systems and engine components to ensure safe operation.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics (levels B and C).
Prioritize repairs and coordinate repair schedules for efficiency.
Perform DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles and complete necessary documentation.
