Job summary

Dave Hausbeck Trucking, Inc. in Reese, Michigan, is seeking an Advanced Diagnostic Technician for first shift to tackle complex problems on Class 8 trucks. You will diagnose engines, electrical, emissions, ABS, and other electronically controlled systems, and provide technical direction.

Candidates should have strong diagnostic experience, leadership ability to mentor others, and experience with Detroit DiagnosticLink and Cummins INSITE. ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong Class 8 truck diagnostic experience.
• Leadership ability to mentor other technicians.
• Advanced electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Thorough understanding of diesel engine and aftertreatment systems.
• Experience with OEM diagnostic software and service information.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics on Class 8 trucks and related systems.
• Troubleshoot engine performance, electrical and drivability concerns.
• Diagnose emissions and aftertreatment systems, including DPF, DEF and SCR.
• Diagnose ABS and electronically controlled braking systems.
• Troubleshoot fault codes, warning lights and communication/network issues.
• Use OEM diagnostic software and electronic service information.
• Provide technical guidance and diagnostic support to other technicians.
• Help develop troubleshooting skills and share diagnostic knowledge across the shop.
