Job summary

Stellantis in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Software Engineering Platforms Principal Engineer to lead DevOps platform design and optimization for scalable CI/CD, IaC, and cloud pipelines. You will collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure robust, secure, and high-performing platforms.

The role emphasizes automation, security, and reliability with a focus on mentoring engineers and driving best practices across delivery pipelines.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps platform engineering or software development.
Strong expertise in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or TeamCity.
Deep understanding of IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and DevSecOps practices.
Experience with GitOps and deployment automation.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of DevOps platforms for high-performing teams.
Architect scalable, secure CI/CD pipelines and IaC for automated provisioning.
Collaborate with dev, security, and infra teams to align platform capabilities with requirements.
Optimize platform performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency through monitoring and automation.
Mentor engineers and drive upskilling of teams on platform capabilities.
