Job summary

Stellantis is seeking an experienced engineer to lead the evolution of a model-based build platform. You will define how models drive the dependency graph, implement scalable build and remote-execution strategies, and push for fast, reproducible environments across Linux and cloud platforms.

You will own the platform direction, ensure quality gates, and mentor teams while partnering with tool providers to advance headless execution and contracts. This role is based in Auburn Hills, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of overall software engineering experience.
• Deep model-driven development experience for embedded software.
• Build-system engineering: dependency graphs, cache-key stability, build rule authorship.
• Remote execution and cloud infrastructure: Linux and cloud environments.
• Strong grounding in automotive software quality and functional safety standards.
• Proven track record of evolving how teams work toward a shared, reproducible environment.
• The judgment to invest time in foundational decisions.

Responsibilities

• Define models as first-class inputs in the dependency graph; version and buildability.
• Implement build-system integration for model-based workloads with correct cache keys.
• Design remote-execution strategy for license-bound and compute-heavy workloads.
• Optimize cache economics so expensive work is reused across CI jobs.
• Translate model quality standards into executable gates in the build graph.
• Lead adoption by keeping authors in familiar interfaces while enabling faster environments.
• Partner with tool providers on headless execution and integration contracts.
• Set direction for model-based and build-platform boundaries, with mentoring and design leadership.
