Job summary

Aker Systems is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive secure cloud environments hosting data platforms for public and private sector clients. You will leverage CI/CD, IaC, and modern automation to deploy and operate cloud infrastructure with a focus on security and reliability.

The role requires a Bachelors-level degree and 5+ years in DevOps, with strong experience in AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Docker. UK security clearance is required or supported if not held at start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 5+ years' experience in a DevOps capacity.
• Experience deploying and operating infrastructure (network, servers, services) on AWS or similar cloud environments.
• Azure/Open-source cloud technologies experience is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and deploy cloud-based infrastructure and applications using CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Contribute to the coding of custom test automation frameworks.
• Maintain and update scripts due to changing requirements or implementations.
• Set up/maintain environments for manual and automated testing.
• Provide production support and incident resolution.
• Lead and mentor team to deliver according to project timelines.
