JPMorgan Chase in Columbus, OH is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Consumer and Community Banking technology team to lead the design, development, and evolution of a highly scalable GraphQL platform across multiple teams and services.

As a core technical contributor, you will establish observability, CI/CD automation, secure architecture, mentor engineers, and drive architectural decisions to deliver trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, 3+ years on building and scaling platform solutions.
• Leadership mentoring engineers and driving architectural decisions across teams.
• Expert in containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Scripting in Bash, Groovy, Python.
• Terraform and IaC practices for multi-environment infra.
• GraphQL architecture and REST API principles.
• CI/CD pipelines, automation, deployment strategies.
• Git/Bitbucket workflows and distributed monitoring (Splunk/DataDog/Dynatrace/CloudWatch).
• OAuth 2.0 security patterns in platform engineering.
• Strong documentation skills (ADR, runbooks).

• Designs self-service APIs, tooling, and documentation for platform services.
