Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor, and manage team members to develop a high-performing detail department.
• Assist the Service Manager with hiring, training, and motivating department staff.
• Provide enthusiastic leadership to shape team morale and performance.
• Oversee daily operations, including scheduling and workflow management.
• Ensure compliance with all training requirements and safety regulations (OSHA Rights to Know).
• Liaise between the detail department and other departments to ensure timely vehicle processing.
• Maintain inventory for cleaning solutions, equipment and materials.
• Ensure detail repair orders are accurate and closed timely.
• Ensure all legal requirements and dealership standards are met.
• Collaborate with Service, Sales, and Parts to ensure timely turnaround for inventory or guest delivery.
• Keep showroom and stock vehicles clean and presentable.
• Ensure all retail vehicles are cleaned prior to sale.

DescriptionAs lead automotive detailer, you are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the detail department. This role involves managing team members, ensuring compliance with industry standards, optimizing processes, and enhancing guest satisfaction. You will provide leadership for all aspects of the Detail department operations, to ensure accuracy and efficiency of the Detail department.
