Job summary

rosadogroup, a long-standing car dealership, is seeking an automobile detailer to clean and prep vehicles for sale and service customers. The role involves washing exteriors, detailing interiors, and maintaining lot appearance. Training and resources are available to help you advance in the company.

The position is full-time and based in Moosic, PA, with responsibilities in a detail bay and outdoor areas. You will work with a supportive team, and there are opportunities for growth and structured

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand long periods and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
• Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow product instructions.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash exterior and interior of vehicles to clean and prep for sale.
• Apply wax and buff surfaces to protect and enhance shine.
• Vacuum interiors and clean upholstery and carpets.
• Clean engines and engine compartments as required.
• Apply protective coatings to vinyl, leather, and surfaces.
• Assist with lot maintenance and keep work area organized.

Job Description

Summary/Objective

The automobile detailer has an important role in the sales and service process. The detailer ensures any and all vehicle is properly washed and prepped for sale and cleans service customer vehicles, when applicable. Lot maintenance may be required.

Essential Functions

1. Cleans and refurbishes new and used automobiles, performing any combination of following duties: Washes vehicle exterior to clean cars, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.
2. Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surfaces to protect surfaces and preserve shine, using cloth or buffing machine.
3. Vacuums interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, using vacuum cleaner.
4. Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
5. Applies revitalizing solutions and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces, and treats fabrics with spot and stain resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.
6. Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime.
7. Applies special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials, which do not respond to normal cleaning procedures, utilizing experience and following recommendations of product manufacturer.
8. Applies paint to chipped body surfaces of vehicle, using container of touchup paint.
9. Applies dyes and reconditioning chemical to vinyl tops of vehicle to restore color and condition.
10. Applies road salt when needed.
11. Aids in the removal of snow from lot and vehicles.
12. Other duties as assigned

Work Environment

This job operates in the detail bay. This role routinely uses supplies such as cleansers which may be toxic. The use of hoses, power washers and brushes and sponges will also be used on a regular basis. This job is performed indoors as well as outdoors.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a Full time position. Days and hours of work will be scheduled based on dealership needs.
