Job summary

Thumbtack is seeking a senior frontend engineer to build an AI-assisted design-to-code pipeline that spans Figma, Thumbprint components, and production frontend code. You will collaborate with designers, PMs, and partner engineering teams to evolve Thumbprint and associated tooling.

The role emphasizes TypeScript/React expertise, design-system involvement, and hands-on AI tooling experience to scale across web and mobile platforms.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Fluent in TypeScript and React.
• Strong collaboration with designers and PMs.
• Experience with design systems is welcome.
• Hands-on with AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Build the AI-assisted pipeline moving work from design to production code.
• Collaborate with Product Design, DevX, and Frontend Infrastructure.
• Evolve Thumbprint to work with agentic tooling.
• Prototype and evaluate emerging AI tooling for scalable adoption.
• Ship reusable patterns and components for cross-team use.
