Job summary

Reframe Systems is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own the hardest parts of our design automation platform. You will turn high-level designs into manufacturable models and production plans for a fully automated microfactory pipeline.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with strong emphasis on clean abstractions and reliable, scalable code. You will work across architecture, robotics, software, and factory operations, using coding agents and AI to advance the system and improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in computer science or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience building production software.
• Strong software engineering experience in Go, Python or C#, with automated testing and CI/CD.
• Experience with cloud-native architecture and containerized deployments (EC2, Lambda, etc.).
• Proven technical leadership and delivering reliable code at scale.
• Experience using coding agents to build prototypes quickly.
• Comfortable learning new programming languages rapidly.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build the core of the design automation platform to produce manufacturing-ready outputs.
• Decompose messy domains into clean abstractions and validate solutions in the real world.
• Design pipeline stages, intermediate representations, and verification gates.
• Set technical direction for design automation and elevate engineering standards.
• Leverage AI to build and operate within the system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance a highly automated system.
