Reframe Systems Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own the hardest parts of our design automation platform.

You will transform high-level designs into manufacturable models and production plans, acting as a compiler for buildings within our microfactory environment. The role is senior and hands-on, requiring deconstructing messy domains into durable abstractions and delivering reliable code at scale under tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in computer science or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience building production software.
• Strong software engineering experience in Go, Python or C#, including automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring and alerting, debugging and root cause analysis.
• Experience with cloud-native architecture and containerized/cloud services (EC2, Lambda).
• Demonstrated technical leadership and track record of turning messy domains into clean abstractions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build the core of the design automation platform that lowers designs into manufacturing-ready outputs.
• Decompose complex problems and deliver clean abstractions with proven real-world results.
• Design pipeline stages, intermediate representations, and verification gates.
• Set technical direction and raise engineering standards through reviews and mentorship.
• Leverage AI to build and augment the system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance a highly automated system and integrate with existing workflows.
