Job Purpose

The Lead Deputy TitleIX Coordinator assists the TitleIX Coordinator in managing reports of sexual misconduct, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation from receipt to resolution. The role focuses on educating the campus community, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and supporting a TitleIX & CARES Office that is approachable and accessible.

Essential Functions
Intake, Support, & Case Management
  1. Conduct intake meetings with complainants and respondents, address immediate safety needs, and provide information on support services and reporting options.
  2. Collaborate with other college offices to identify and implement interim measures and accommodations.
  3. Assist in tracking and monitoring TitleIX complaints to meet deadlines; develop checklists, protocols, and training coordination.
Record Keeping
  1. Maintain the institutional database for incident reports, investigation reports, notices, decisions, and appeals.
  2. Oversee monitoring of the case management database and organize, manage, and track all incidents.
  3. Collect, maintain, and analyze data to contribute to the annual Clery Report.
  4. Maintain current inventory of relevant regulations and statutes such as TitleIX, VAWA, Clery Act, etc.
  5. Assist in preparing and submitting internal and external reports, including the federally mandated annual Clery Report.
  6. Assist the TitleIX Coordinator in reviewing, writing, and revising college policies and procedures.
Alternative Resolution
  1. Track, facilitate, and implement interim support measures, serving as Case Manager throughout TitleIX and Alternative Resolution processes.
  2. Facilitate Pomona or TCC agreement-based resolution matters, including restorative justice processes.
  3. Strategize, develop, implement, and evaluate restorative practice interventions, mediations, and facilitated agreements.
Community Education
  1. Prepare and disseminate educational materials (brochures, posters, web-based materials) to inform the campus community of TitleIX rights and responsibilities.
  2. Work with internal and off‑campus partners to develop and present comprehensive TitleIX training programs and workshops.
  3. Assess institutional needs and identify trends to create and implement relevant educational programming.
Policy & Procedures
  1. Provide ongoing consultations and updates on TitleIX requirements and case‑management approaches.
  2. Monitor and oversee TitleIX compliance and prevention of harassment and discrimination.
  3. Serve as an Advisor to complainants or respondents in formal TCC TitleIX Hearings.
  4. Review and update procedures for investigations, hearings, and alternative resolutions.
  5. Coordinate with the Chief Human Resources Officer on faculty and staff investigations.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
  • A valid driver’s license or equivalent reliable transportation.
  • Preferred: Restorative Justice Facilitator certification or trained/certified mediator.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in TitleIX, restorative justice, or higher education, with strong preference for student affairs experience.

  • Experience developing and delivering training and education programs.

Required Hours

The regular full‑time hours are Monday– Friday, 8:00a.m.to5:00p.m. Off‑hours, holiday, weekend, and evening work may be required, and travel is expected.

Additional Position Details

This is a regular, full‑time, exempt position with benefits eligibility. Salary ranges from $96,000 to $113,000 per year. All positions are ineligible for visa or permanent resident sponsorship. As a California employer, employees must be California residents.
