Qualifications

• Three years as a Senior Deputy Public Guardian in Los Angeles County.
• One year as a Principal Deputy Public Guardian in Los Angeles County.
• Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the core business function and seven years of experience in conservatorships, guardianships or trust in a public agency.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff engaged in investigations and case management of LPS/Probate conservatorships, guardianships and trusts.
• Assigns, reviews and evaluates work; provides guidance in conservatorship, guardianship and trust administration.
• Recommends legal action, sale of assets, and financial transactions for the benefit of conservatees or beneficiaries.
• Confers with conservatees, beneficiaries, relatives, attorneys and others regarding administration.
• Coordinates work with other units and oversees property inspections and funds handling.
