Job summary

Lumio Dental is seeking a Lead Dental Assistant for Sperry Family Dental to lead a small team and oversee back-office operations while assisting clinicians. The ideal candidate communicates well, maintains chairside professionalism, and helps coordinate with doctors and hygienists to ensure smooth patient flow.

You will expose X-rays, record treatments, manage histories and vital signs, and train staff on hygiene best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience leading the back office or in a leadership role within a dental setting.
• Strong communication and chairside manner are essential.
• Comfortable coordinating with doctors and hygienists and managing back-office tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of dental assistants.
• Communicate and partner with Doctors and Hygienists.
• Order supplies and ensure compliance.
• Keep the back office running smoothly.
• Expose dental diagnostic X-Rays.
• Record treatment information in patient records.
• Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs.
• Clean teeth with dental instruments and polish removable appliances.
• Apply fluoride coatings to teeth.
• Fabricate temporary restorations and impressions.
• Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control.
• Pour, trim, and polish study casts.
