Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Dental Assistant to provide four-handed chairside support to dental students in a university clinic. You will assist with procedures, manage patient records, and help run the clinic storefront. Strong communication and infection control knowledge are essential.

Requirements include a dental assistant certificate or equivalent training, related experience, and certification (RDA/CDA). Multilingual abilities are a plus for diverse patient encounters.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Dental Assistant Training Program and 2 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of four-handed chairside dental techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Certification as a Dental Assistant (RDA or CDA).
• Knowledge of a foreign language (e.g., Spanish, Korean, Chinese).

• Instruct dental students and dental assistant students in four-handed dentistry and infection control.
• Perform tests; assist with preparing dental castings, dispensing medications and instructions, and performing minor dental and surgical procedures; ensure safe use, disposal, and storage of chemicals or hazardous materials.
• Maintain patient files and charts.
• Serve as clinic receptionist and clinic cashier.
• May assist with training and reviewing work of student employees.
