• Minimum of one year experience in a dental practice or completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain working relationships with patients and co-workers.
• Basic computer skills demonstrating Word, Excel and inter-office email systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in dental treatments by seating patients and passing instruments to the dentist.
• Clean, sterilize, and assemble instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures.
• Prepare cast models by preparing materials, taking impressions, and pouring/trimming models.
• Take and download oral radiographs used in diagnosis and treatment.
• Record treatment results on patient dental records; instruct patients in care of teeth and appliances.
• Schedule and confirm appointments.
• Requisition dental supplies and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on instruments and equipment.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or equivalent;
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in a dental practice or completion of an accredited, approved Dental Assistant program;
• Bilingual preferred;
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain working relationships with patients and co-workers;
• Basic Computer Skills demonstrating specifically basic skills in word, excel, inter office email systems.
