Zen Dental Group in Lexington, MA is seeking a Part-time Lead Dental Assistant to guide the clinical team in a modern, high-tech practice. This role offers leadership in a small, dedicated team and requires providing expert chairside assistance, managing inventory, and supporting patient flow.

Experience with cosmetic, implant, and general dentistry is valued, along with certifications such as BLS, RDA or CDA. Weekend shifts are not required, and compensation ranges from $28 to $35 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RDA or CDA with active BLS certification.
• Provide leadership to the clinical team and ensure smooth chairside support.
• Experience with cosmetic, implant, and general dentistry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to the clinical team.
• Manage supply ordering and inventory maintenance.

• Provide expert chairside assistance during complex procedures (extractions, implants, perio surgeries).
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Sterilize instruments and prep treatment rooms.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures.
• Assist the dentist during restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments.
• Take radiographs and ensure diagnostic-quality images.
• Prepare and mix dental materials.
• Assist with four-handed dentistry.

Requirements

• License & Certification: Basic life support, Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant
• Software Experience: Open Dental, Dexis
• Clinical Experience: Cosmetic Dentistry, Implant Dentistry, General Dentistry
• Years of Professional Experience: Experienced Dental assistant with 2+ years of practice
