Job summary

Aspen Dental in York, PA is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. You will sterilize instruments, prepare treatment rooms, and support the dentist during procedures.

This role offers day shifts Monday–Friday, overtime during busy seasons, and a competitive hourly wage. Certifications in X-ray/radiography are required, with benefits including health insurance and retirement plan.

Qualifications

X-ray certification is required.
CPR/BLS certifications are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

Sterilize dental instruments and prepare treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.
Prepare patients for dental procedures by ensuring comfort and explaining what to expect.
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed and ensure all images are of diagnostic quality.
Prepare and mix dental materials such as fillings, impressions, and bonding agents.
Perform delegated reversible expanded functions under the dentist's direction.
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry.

Pay

$25 - $27 per hour
Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
Commission-Based Incentives: Benefit from incentives based on your contributions to procedures like impression taking, equipment setup, and patient education.

Shift & Schedule

5x8
Monday to Friday
Day shift
No weekend shifts

Work Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 7 AM - 4 PM; Wednesday: Closed; Friday: 7 AM - 1 PM.
Breaks: 60-minute meal break (not counted as work hours).
Overtime: Overtime available during busy seasons and paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate.
Weekend Work: No weekend shifts required.
Holiday Shifts: Occasional holiday shifts, compensated at double time.
