Job summary

Gresham Smile Designs is seeking a Lead Dental Assistant to elevate patient care and grow leadership capabilities. You will mentor teammates, manage back-office operations, and implement new technologies while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The role requires 5 years as a Dental Assistant, valid radiology/CPR/RDA credentials, and experience with Dentrix or Denticon. This on-site position offers a competitive hourly wage and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
  • State-required certifications (Radiology, CPR, RDA/RDAEF) are desirable.
  • Experience with Dentrix or Denticon is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead back-office operations and supervise lab work and sterilization.
  • Mentor and train staff; run effective team meetings.
  • Ensure OSHA/HIPAA compliance and safe environment.
  • Support doctor and leadership to resolve daily operations issues.
  • Assist with ordering dental supplies with Operations Manager.

Lead Dental Assistant

Schedule:

You will be thrilled to know that we work 4 days per week, and NO WEEKENDS!

  • Monday: 6:45am - 4:00pm
  • Tuesday: 6:45am - 5:00pm
  • Wednesday: 6:45am - 4:00pm
  • Thursday: 5:45am - 3:00pm
  • Friday: Off
Responsibilities

As part of our team you will be responsible for the following (not limited to):

  • Patients are our number one priority, and we always want to do what is best for them.
  • Be knowledgeable of existing and emerging technologies and clinical initiatives that impact the back-office experience.
  • Actively monitor lab materials and supplies.
  • Follow all OSHA/HIPAA guidelines.
  • Supervise and monitor lab work, sterilization, x-ray protocols, chairside assisting, and new technology (Cerec, CBCT, etc.)
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients and team.
  • Drive team excellence by leading dynamic staff meetings, delivering impactful training that empowers your colleagues, and pioneering innovative problem-solving strategies that elevate our entire practice.
  • Collaborate with the doctor and other team leaders on resolving conflicts that affect daily operations.
  • Support of the overall goals and strategies, per the Annual Plan.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to complete ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience working as a Dental Assistant
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Other certifications as required by the state, as an example: Radiology Certification, CPR, Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions (RDAEF), etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Dental Softwares as Dentrix or Denticon
  • Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)
