Job description

Lead Demand Planner - NIKE USA Inc.

Location: Beaverton, OR (Remote work available from anywhere in the U.S., except SD, VT, and WV)

We are seeking a Lead Demand Planner to collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders to deliver actionable insights on pre-season and in-season financial and inventory risks and opportunities. The role involves forecasting macro-level consumer demand for Nike footwear, apparel, and equipment to maximize revenue, margin, and optimize inventory.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Partnering with Nike stores, gender teams, and other stakeholders to drive data-driven business decisions.
  2. Understanding product assortment planning, marketplace insights, member/membership data, and marketing strategies to inform demand and inventory forecasts.
  3. Providing marketplace capacity forecasts to inform overall consumer demand and inventory planning.
  4. Collaborating with territories on monthly sales and stock plans to ensure healthy inventory levels.
  5. Developing and managing long-range consumer demand, margin, and inventory forecasts.
  6. Implementing process improvements to optimize planning workflows.
  7. Partnering with territory teams to enhance planning capabilities and in-season adjustments.
  8. Determining trade-off actions to drive consumer demand, margin, and inventory health across the marketplace.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science (Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or Computer Science).
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in demand forecasting, data analysis, and related strategy roles.
  • Experience with Excel, database building, storytelling, market analysis, meeting facilitation, stock and sales planning, and Tableau reporting.
