Monday–Friday, 8 am-5 pm. An alternate schedule may be available.

The Position

The City of Portland's Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Planner/Coordinator II to support the Operations & Maintenance Group (O&M) Condition Assessment Program and the Instrumentation and Automation programs. This role involves asset management practices, including creation, maintenance strategies, and supporting Capital Improvement Projects (CIP).

The Coordinator II will manage maintenance, installation, and repair processes to ensure assets are properly maintained for effective wastewater treatment, utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and document maintenance procedures for electrical assets.
  • Create and maintain accurate records in CMMS for assets and projects.
  • Plan and oversee Rehabilitation, Repair & Modifications (RR&M) projects.
  • Assess and improve maintenance strategies for electrical assets.
  • Serve as a technical stakeholder for CIP projects related to electrical assets.
  • Lead troubleshooting activities and diagnostics in the field.
  • Collaborate with vendors for condition assessments and risk mitigation.
  • Serve as Call-Out Coordinator on a rotating basis for after-hours responses.
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience in asset management and condition assessment of industrial electrical assets.
  • Proficiency in CMMS software.
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.
  • Ability to interpret design and construction documents.
  • Experience in asset management and reliability practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for coordinating work and building relationships.
