The Chief Engineer is responsible for leading and creating product designs for internally or externally funded research and development programs, including armor, blast attenuating seats, and other technologies for ground vehicles, aircraft, and infrastructure security needs. The Chief Engineer ensures new products meet specified requirements and oversees prototype build, qualification testing, and transition to production. The Chief Engineer develops and/or reviews technical documents to support CDRLs/SDRLS, design reviews, testing, requirements tracking, and trade studies, bids and proposals. The Chief Engineer develops key performance matrices for development projects, standard operating procedures, and supports ArmorWorks’ business development team. The position requires autonomous operation with minimal oversight and a commitment to growing team members.
