Job summary

Bounteous is seeking a Lead Databricks Engineer/Architect to design, build, and scale a cloud-based lakehouse platform. You will own end-to-end architecture of our data ecosystem on Databricks, partner with data science and analytics teams to productionize ML workloads, and set technical direction for ingestion, governance, and performance across petabyte-scale data.

You will be a hands-on technical leader, write production code, mentor engineers, and shape standards adopted by the broader data

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data engineering experience.
• 4+ years building production workloads on Databricks.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; comfort with Scala is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce information security practices across data assets.
• Architect and lead a lakehouse on Databricks across clouds.
• Design scalable batch and streaming data pipelines using PySpark and Delta Live Tables.
• Mentor engineers, lead reviews, and set engineering standards.
• Engage with stakeholders to translate needs into a data platform roadmap.
