Job summary

Google LLC seeks a Principal Engineer for Migration and Modernization to lead the technical direction of the M&M portfolio. You will drive architecture, set roadmaps, and collaborate with product teams across cloud services.

You will influence multiple product lines, mentor engineers, and engage with customers to understand modernization needs and deliver impactful solutions on Google Cloud's platform.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
15 years of experience building database systems and delivering them in production.
10 years of experience with data platforms, systems engineering, and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Develop and own the technical roadmap for the M&M portfolio, identifying key innovation opportunities.
Drive the overall architecture and design of key modernization and migration components.
Work with product management to ensure M&M investments align with Google Data Cloud goals.
Engage with external customers to understand complex modernization needs and deliver impact.
