We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Database Architect to join our dedicated team supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) customer. This role requires hands-on leadership in database design, architecture, performance tuning, and application integration for a mission-critical, web-based United States Air Force system.

Basic Required Qualifications and Skills:
- At start date must possess an Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III Certification. Acceptable
- DoD approved baseline certifications (CASP, CISA, CISSP (or Associate)).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Oracle database architecture, development, and administration.
- Expert-level proficiency with Oracle RDBMS (preferably version 19c).
- Hands-on experience with Oracle APEX, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), OEM Agent, and the Oracle GoldenGate OEM Plugin.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle REST Data Services and Oracle WebLogic Server.
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, analytical functions, and performance tuning.
- Deep expertise in PL/SQL, including the development and maintenance of complex procedures, functions, packages, and object types.
- Experience working with Linux OS and Oracle on Linux-based platforms.
- Outstanding analytic, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience facilitating enterprise workshops, leading technical teams, and mentoring junior staff.
- Strong strategic approach to database architecture and lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior database developers.
- Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Current DoD successfully adjudicated T5 investigation. Most commonly attained with a TOP SECRET clearance (Note: a TOP SECRET clearance is not required, but the T5 investigation is necessary)
Desired Qualifications and Skills:It is desirable that the candidate has the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Oracle certifications, such as Oracle Certified Master or Oracle Certified Professional.
- Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines in database development environments.
- Exposure to cloud-based Oracle solutions or experience with cloud migration projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-availability Oracle database solutions.
- Lead architecture decisions for Oracle 19c and associated enterprise tools.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and object types.
- Oversee Oracle APEX development and ensure seamless integration with backend systems.
- Manage and monitor Oracle environments using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and its agent.
- Administer and optimize Oracle GoldenGate replication and OEM plugins.
- Implement and support Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) and Oracle WebLogic Server.
- Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams on performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Mentor database engineers and guide team members on best practices in Oracle development and administration.
- Ensure database security, compliance, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery protocols.
