Job summary

CoStar Group is seeking a Team Lead for Software Engineering in Data Transformation to build and guide the next generation of data pipelines and integrations, focusing on finance tech data migrations and conversions across systems. You will directly influence design, mentoring, and production reliability while collaborating with cross-functional partners.

The role is based in Richmond, VA with a Monday–Thursday in-office schedule and Friday work-from-home.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of data and software engineers, including hiring, coaching, performance management and career development.
• Own the team's deliverables end-to-end, from scope and technical direction through quality and on-time delivery.
• Plan and coordinate with other engineering teams, product management and business stakeholders, setting commitments and communicating progress, risks and tradeoffs.
• Own the architecture of the team's systems, balancing data platform design with full application design (services, APIs, integrations).
• Remain hands-on, contributing to design and implementation of pipelines, services, and APIs, and participate in design/code reviews.
• Be accountable for production support of the team's systems, including monitoring, incident response, and reliability.
• Maintain high engineering standards across testing, CI/CD, documentation, observability and security.
