CoStar Group in Richmond, VA is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to build our next-gen data warehousing pipelines and ecosystem within the finance tech organization. The role focuses on data migration/transformation across systems for our enterprise contracting platform.

The candidate will standardize data environments across billing systems, enabling better visibility into patterns and optimizations of billions in payments yearly. Hybrid in-office with Friday remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of data engineering experience with project leadership.
• Experience building batch and incremental ingestion pipelines from heterogeneous sources.
• Ability to normalize third-party data schemas into enterprise models.
• Advanced SQL and data modeling skills; proficiency in Python/Scala/Java/.NET.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large datasets.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, DevOps and DBA teams for production systems.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to technical design decisions.
