Job summary

CoStar Group is seeking a Team Lead, Software Engineering - Data Transformation in Richmond, VA, to lead a new team building data migration and transformation pipelines for our enterprise contracting data. This hands-on leadership role involves design, delivery, and collaboration with partner teams to standardize data across billing systems.

The role requires 6+ years in software/data engineering with 2+ years in leadership, strong SQL, Python/Scala/Java, and experience with Databricks/Snowflake

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• 6+ years of software or data engineering experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong SQL and data modeling plus hands-on in Python/Scala/Java/C#/.NET.
• Experience with distributed processing engines and cloud data warehouses; API/service design.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the data transformation team from architecture to delivery.
• Own end-to-end deliverables, commitments, and timelines with stakeholders.
• Design and implement pipelines, services and APIs; review code and mentor engineers.
• Ensure production reliability, monitoring, on-call, and incident management.
