This position serves as the Product Owner for a dedicated Agile scrum team focused on Electronic Health Record (EHR) Clinical Data Exchanges (CDE) and Integration. The role owns the product backlog for integrations, data curation and transformation, and downstream use-case/consumption enablement. The Product Owner acts as the critical bridge between business stakeholders, clinical partners, and technical delivery teams, translating complex healthcare interoperability requirements - such as HL7 standards, FHIR, and EHR platform integrations - into actionable user stories. This role requires deep expertise in payer/provider data exchange, quality measures (HEDIS/Stars), and Agile Scrum methodologies.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Product Ownership & Backlog Management: Serve as Product Owner for the EHR CDE and Integration scrum team, defining product vision, managing and prioritizing the backlog, writing user stories, and leading sprint planning and reviews.
• EHR & Clinical Data Exchange Expertise: Drive integration capabilities leveraging EHR system data exchanges for payer/provider mutual benefit across platforms such as Epic (including Epic Payer Platform), Athena Health, Veradigm eCC, Oracle Health, and Medent.
• Healthcare Domain & Quality Standards Integration: Apply deep knowledge of HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set), NCQA/Stars ratings for CMS/ONC reimbursement, Risk Adjustment, Utilization Management, and Care Management practices to shape data curation and downstream consumption.
• Interoperability Standards: Incorporate healthcare data exchange standards and formats into product requirements, including HL7 v2 (ADT, SIU, ORU), HL7 v3 (CDA, CCD), and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR).
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Executive Communication: Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders for requirements gathering, strategic prioritization, executive communication, and conflict resolution. Act as the primary business voice for the scrum team.
• Technical & Architectural Familiarity: Work effectively alongside Data Engineers and Architects, maintaining familiarity with Data Lakehouse architecture concepts, GitHub/DevOps CI/CD, YAML, and Cloud Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Other duties as assigned or requested.

• Required 7 years of experience in IS/IT
• Preferred 5 years of experience in Process Improvement
• 3 years of experience in Project Management
• 3 years of experience in Health Insurance Industry
• 3 years of experience in Healthcare Industry

SKILLS

• 5+ years of experience in healthcare data analysis, product management, or business systems analysis within the Healthcare or Health Insurance industry.
• 3+ years of experience functioning in an Agile Scrum environment as a Product Owner or in a closely related product-owning capacity (Certified Scrum Product Owner [CSPO] or similar certification preferred).
• Demonstrated experience with EHR systems (Epic, Athena, etc.) and healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR).
• Strong knowledge of payer clinical programs, including HEDIS, Stars, Risk Adjustment, and Care Management.
• Agile Scrum Methodology & Product Ownership (CSPO certification preferred)
• Healthcare Data Exchange Standards (HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, CDA, CCD)
• EHR Platform Integration (Epic, Athena Health, Oracle Health, etc.)
