Job summary

HireVenture is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join a healthcare-focused organization. You will lead advanced analysis of structured and unstructured data, build predictive models, and translate complex results into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

The role requires mentoring other data scientists, delivering high-impact projects on time, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will work remotely within approved states, with up to 20% travel and ongoing opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related STEM field.
• 7+ years of professional data science experience.
• Strong programming and statistical analysis skills.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and database management.
• Strong understanding of machine learning techniques and their practical applications.
• Strong knowledge of advanced statistical concepts and methods, including regression, statistical testing, distributions, forecasting, and A/B testing.
• Experience working with large, complex, and incomplete datasets.
• Strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to communicate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong presentation skills and comfort presenting insights to senior and executive-level leadership.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
