Job summary

Plymouth Rock Assurance seeks a lead data scientist to own end-to-end analytics projects, from problem framing to deployment. You will build production-grade models, apply ML/AI techniques, and communicate insights to senior leaders across Product, Pricing, Underwriting, and Claims.

Ideal candidates have a PhD in a quantitative field, strong statistics, and hands-on ML experience, including cloud platforms (AWS) and modern tools. Insurance domain knowledge is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• PhD in quantitative field with strong modeling background.
• Strong foundation in statistics and applied modeling.
• Hands-on experience with modern modeling tools and methods.

Responsibilities

• Identify and frame high-value problems; translate questions into analytic strategies.
• Develop, test, and deploy predictive models driving growth and performance.
• Apply ML/AI to accelerate development and deliver new capabilities.
• Build production-ready data pipelines, features, and model monitoring.
