Job summary

Plymouth Rock Assurance is seeking a Data Engineer for the Enterprise Advanced Analytics team in Boston. You will design, build, and optimize data pipelines and workflows, enabling advanced research and analytics across the organization with a focus on data governance and cloud-native architectures.

The role collaborates across Data Science, IT and business units to empower automation and machine learning initiatives, using Python, SageMaker, and AWS services in a hands‑on capacity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Snowflake, DBT, Fivetran, AWS Glue, Python, SageMaker, DB2, SQL Server, and Informatica in data engineering/analytics roles.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, or related field.
• 3+ years building automated data pipelines and ML workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience automating workflows with AWS services (Lambdas, ECS, S3, Step Functions).
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and Python packaging/tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME of data engineering for Enterprise Advanced Analytics—design, build, and optimize data pipelines and workflows.
• Collaborate with Data Science, IT and Business to automate data and ML automation across Personal Auto and Homeowner units.
• Develop and enforce data governance and security protocols for quality and regulatory compliance.
• Lead transition to a cloud-based AWS data lake (AWS) with new architectures and capabilities.
• Create and manage data infrastructure to design, develop, and enhance data and analytics solutions.
