Job summary

Versant Media, LLC is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to shape analytics and AI across Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes. This hybrid role targets a senior individual contributor who will set experimentation standards, own core modeling, and drive durable, scalable self-service analytics for stakeholders.

You will build and ship analytics and AI solutions with organization-wide impact, focusing on models and processes that improve data product delivery, decision quality, and adoption.

Qualifications

• Degree in quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years in data science or analytics, including leading technical work as an individual contributor and guiding data-informed strategy.
• Hands-on experience in predictive modeling and machine learning, including segmentation, lifetime value, and forecasting models.
• Strong command of experimentation and causal inference, including setting standards for an organization.
• Expert SQL and modern data science toolkit, with pipelines and data modeling knowledge.
• Technical leadership experience with AI, including integrating AI tools to redesign workflows and drive measurable impact.
• Proven ability to collaborate across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Finance.
• Excellent problem framing and communication, translating complex modeling into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Build modeling frameworks and processes that improve how the business receives trusted data products.
• Own core modeling work, including segmentation, lifetime value, retention, and forecasting.
• Establish the methodological standard for running experiments across the organization.
• Provide modern AI technical leadership for how analytics and AI solutions are built and shipped.
• Drive a shift toward durable, scalable, self-service analytics that stakeholders can trust and adopt.
• Identify opportunities to redesign analytical workflows with AI, delivering measurable speed and quality gains.
• Champion sound AI practices, including risk assessment and bias mitigation.
• Mentor analysts or scientists by sharing reusable models, frameworks, and standards that raise capability over time.
