Job summary

Versant Media is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to act as the senior technical leader for the Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes analytics organization. You will own core modeling—segmentation, lifetime value, retention, and forecasting—and set standards for experiments and causal inference.

This is a senior IC role with broad influence, reporting to the head of the Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes Analytics. You will mentor analysts, build scalable models and AI-enabled workflows, and partner with

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data science or analytics, including leading technical work as an IC and guiding data-informed strategy.
• Hands-on expertise in predictive modeling and ML, including segmentation, lifetime value, and forecasting.
• Strong command of experimentation and causal inference and setting those standards for an organization.
• Expert SQL and a modern data science toolkit, with pipelines and data modeling.
• Technical leadership experience, including AI leadership and integrating AI to redesign workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead segmentation, customer lifetime value, retention, and forecasting models.
• Own methodological standards for experiments and causal inference.
• Mentor analysts and raise the technical capability of the team.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Finance.
• Deliver scalable, self-service analytics products with measurable impact.
• Identify AI-enabled workflows to improve speed and quality of insights.
