Lead Data Science Analyst

Summary

We are seeking a strategic, data-driven Business Analyst Lead to join our growing Decision Intelligence team. In this highly visible role, you will turn complex data into actionable insights that shape product, marketing, and financial strategies. Embedded within business units, this position offers a unique opportunity to directly influence decision-making at all levels by bridging the gap between analytics and business impact. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of business acumen, advanced technical skills, and a natural curiosity for uncovering insights. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Product Management, Marketing, Finance, and Connected Services to develop models, dashboards, and recommendations that guide business growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of reporting and analytics solutions that inform strategic and tactical decisions.
• Analyze market and internal trends to identify opportunities, risks, and performance drivers.
• Proactively generate hypotheses to improve business performance using data-driven insights.
• Design and build Power BI dashboards and visualizations that communicate key business metrics and trends.
• Use SQL and/or Python to extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets from various platforms.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in reporting and analytics processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define key metrics, KPIs, and analytical frameworks that guide initiatives.
• Present complex insights to senior leadership in a clear, concise, and impactful manner.
• Support test-and-learn strategies and help develop frameworks for measuring incremental lift and ROI.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data tools, industry trends, and best practices.
• Comply with company policies, including confidentiality and health/safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in analytics, with at least 3 years in a business analyst role.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
• 2+ years of experience building dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with Python or similar statistical programming languages.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable business insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or MBA.
• Experience with cloud environments such as Azure or Databricks.
• Knowledge of data modeling and semantic data layers.
• Background in IoT, SaaS, or consumer technology products.
• Experience with Salesforce, SAP, CDPs (e.g., Tealium), or Jira.
• Experience with digital acquisition, engagement funnels, and mobile applications.
• Familiarity with financial modeling or business case development.
