JOB SUMMARY

This job turns data into information, information into insight, and insight into action. The incumbent collaborates with business stakeholders to evaluate their need for information, identify potential solutions, gather and analyze data, and present conclusions in a concise and understandable format. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and communication skills, with demonstrable experience using SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data, and expertise in synthesizing and presenting data effectively using business intelligence tools.

The incumbent is expected to become intimately familiar with “the story of the business” as viewed through the lens of data, to champion the adoption of analytics as a tool for organizational change, and to serve as a trusted advisor for all levels of management.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Evaluate a need for information: Coordinate with internal customer areas to identify complex business problems, define outcomes, and determine the best approach to achieve these outcomes.
  2. Lead teams to identify potential solutions: Evaluate new requirements against available tools and methods, develop new tools if necessary, and understand how new and existing solutions interact across the business.
  3. Gather and analyze data: Extract and transform data from relevant sources, build relationships with data owners, test hypotheses, discover patterns, and analyze data comprehensively.
  4. Present conclusions to senior leadership: Communicate effectively through various mediums, including presentations and dashboards, using best practices in information design for clarity and impact.
  5. Provide guidance and training: Mentor less experienced team members, serve as a project manager for complex tasks, and monitor work accuracy and progress.
  6. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Computer and Information Science, Mathematics, or Information Technology.

  • 7-10 years in Business Intelligence
