Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Lead Data Platform Engineer to define and drive the future of our enterprise data ecosystem. In this leadership role, you will establish engineering standards, architect scalable cloud data platforms, and enable analytics, AI, and BI solutions across the organization.

You will mentor engineers, influence platform roadmaps, and partner with security and product teams to ensure governance and operational excellence. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in data engineering or data platform engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data architecture, ETL/ELT pipelines, and modern data platforms.
• Advanced proficiency with SQL and Python for large-scale data processing.

Responsibilities

• Define technical strategy and architecture standards for enterprise data platforms.
• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable cloud-based data platforms.
• Drive modernization, migration, and platform transformation initiatives.
• Establish DataOps, DevOps, CI/CD, IaC, and platform automation best practices.
• Strengthen governance, security, access management, and data protection controls.
