Job summary

TrustEngine is seeking a Lead Data Platform & Database Engineer to take full ownership of the relational database estate, combining two stacks: C#/.NET on Microsoft SQL Server and TypeScript/JavaScript on MySQL in AWS. The role demands immediate action on a critical OS upgrade and long-term stewardship of data standards and governance across engineering teams.

You will own the database estate end-to-end, set standards, and drive a measurable improvement for customers and auditors.

Qualifications

• Lead Data Platform & Database ownership with time-critical OS upgrades.
• Hands-on SQL Server administration on Windows Server EC2 or on‑premises.
• Experience with Always On Availability Groups and failover clustering.

Responsibilities

• Own Microsoft SQL Server administration as the core of the role.
• Perform full SQL Server installation and configuration on servers you manage.
• Handle Windows Server administration, OS upgrades, and migrations.
• Document and communicate version pairings for upgrades.
• Support AWS components such as EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Apply AI proficiency to day‑to‑day work and data governance.
