Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a database migration specialist to lead assessments and execute migrations from Sybase to SQL Server and PostgreSQL. You will analyze legacy systems, design target architectures, and drive data integration, validation, and cutover planning.

The role requires strong SQL and ETL skills, CS/CD familiarity, and collaboration with business and technology stakeholders in a hybrid, on-site environment in the US.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Sybase databases, stored procedures, schemas and data models.
• Proven track record migrating from Sybase to SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead current-state assessment and discovery for the Sybase environment.
• Analyze databases, ETL processes, applications and data dependencies.
• Define migration strategy and implementation roadmap.
• Execute migration activities including database conversion and data validation.
• Provide technical leadership across design, migration and post-migration stabilization.
