Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Data Migration Developer to lead complex data migration and transformation initiatives for ERP implementations and digital programs. You will drive SAP data migration, ETL development, data quality, and cloud data platforms across global teams to ensure successful conversion, validation, cutover, and go-live activities.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical leadership in SAP BODS, Syniti ADM, and cloud-based pipelines, with collaboration across business and IT

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
8+ years of experience in Data Migration, ETL Development, or Data Integration projects.
Proven experience delivering multiple enterprise-scale SAP data migration projects.
Strong hands-on experience with SAP BODS, Syniti ADM, SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SQL and relational databases.
Experience migrating both Master Data and Transactional Data.
Knowledge of data cleansing, data quality, data validation, and reconciliation processes.
Experience developing data pipelines and integrations across multiple source systems and file formats.
Proficiency with Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, DB2, Netezza, Sybase, or similar database technologies.
Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement end-to-end data migration solutions into SAP environments.
Lead extraction, transformation, cleansing, harmonization, and loading processes for master and transactional data.
Build scalable ETL and data integration solutions using SAP BODS, Syniti ADM, Informatica, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and SQL-based tech.
Develop and maintain conversion programs for Material Master, Customer Master, Vendor Master, BOM, Routings, Pricing, Inventory, PO, and Financial data.
Create metadata-driven migration frameworks to improve reusability, automation, and delivery efficiency.
Design data quality, reconciliation, pre-validation, and post-validation reports for migration readiness.
Develop and support automated ingestion pipelines from SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, SQL Server, APIs, XML, JSON, and flat files.
Support all phases of data migration including design, build, testing, cutover, go-live, reconciliation, and hypercare.
Analyze and resolve data migration issues through performance tuning and defect remediation.
Partner with stakeholders across regions to ensure successful migration outcomes.
