Job summary

The Smucker Information Services (IS) department is looking for a Lead Developer, IS Away From Home, to design, build, and support data and integration capabilities powering AFH business processes.

You will serve as the technical lead for AFH's data lake and enterprise integrations, guiding cloud-based pipelines, ETL, APIs, and event-driven interfaces while partnering with Analytics, Sales Operations, and Marketing to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure data solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience as a developer with a STEM degree or equivalent IT training.
• Proficiency with AWS technologies including Lambda, Glue, S3, Step Functions, CloudFormation, and related data integration services.
• Strong development experience using Python and SQL for data transformation and automation.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data integrations, ETL, APIs, and file-based interfaces.
• Experience delivering technical solutions across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and in Agile/DevOps environments.
• Proficiency with source control and automated deployment tools such as GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of data structures, relational databases, data modeling, data transformation, and integration patterns.
• Ability to estimate technical approaches and lead activities for medium to large projects while coordinating resources.
• Ability to conduct integrated testing, debugging, and drive successful implementations and support.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, deployment, and support of the AFH AWS Data Lake and enterprise integration landscape.
• Design scalable cloud-based data pipelines, ETL processes, APIs, event-driven integrations, and file-based interfaces.
• Direct delivery on medium to large projects and guide development resources as needed.
• Create technical designs, data mappings, and implementation plans aligned to security and architecture.
• Evaluate modern cloud technologies and automation opportunities; drive DevOps and CI/CD adoption.
