Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a strategic technology leader to drive E&I HEDIS retrospective operations and migration efforts. You will mentor 6+ data engineers, deliver production-ready data pipelines, and integrate AI capabilities while partnering with auditors and business leaders to meet regulatory SLAs.

Remote work is allowed nationwide with a four-day in-office requirement for Minneapolis-area or DC-area team members.

Qualifications

5+ years in health insurance with HEDIS concepts and data domains across Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial
5+ years using SQL databases in business or research environments
3+ years Agile/Kanban with modern engineering practices (TDD/CI/CD)
2+ years leading 6+ engineers/SMEs
1+ years deploying production-ready AI in enterprise workflows
Experience supporting regulatory compliance reporting and SLAs
Ability to translate technical details to non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

Lead cloud-based data engineering solutions and AI implementations
Mentor a team of 6+ engineers and SMEs to automate data pipelines
Design and integrate AI capabilities into scalable data architectures
Manage communications with business partners and auditors on regulatory reporting
Evaluate and adopt enterprise AI tools to improve data workflows
Collaborate across cross-functional teams to meet business commitments
Ensure adherence to HEDIS quality measures and NCQA updates
Remove barriers by guiding architecture and workflow decisions
